There’s a highway/Telling me to go where I can/Such a long way/I don’t even know where I am
- U.F.O. by Jim Sullivan, 1969
CHEST: 18in LENGTH: 29in
- Screen-printed graphic along the chest
- Water-based ink
- Sewn in label on neckline
- Printed on an assortment of faded 60’s/70’s t-shirts
- May have different levels of wear & tear throughout
Inspired by the disappearance of Jim Sullivan, a musician who drove into the New Mexico desert in 1975 and was never seen again, this graphic imagines the space between explanation and myth. A man alone. Endless desert. Something unidentifiable in the sky.
I am less interested in conspiracy and more interested in isolation. What it means to chase something bigger than you and possibly vanish inside it. Printed on faded 60’s/70’s blanks, each tee feels like it could have been picked up straight off the dirt somewhere between California and New Mexico.
I currently do everything by myself, soooo no can do to any returns/exchanges at the moment. Thank you for your support & understanding.
Love, love, and more love.
